Actually, the second-generation American star’s Toronto record is 7-for-15, because he missed the 1993 race during his brief sojourn with the McLaren Formula One team. And if Andretti’s victory the 95-lapper at Toronto’s Exhibition Place street circuit was the most unlikely of his Toronto career, it was probably the most satisfying of any of the CART-record 41 Champ Car race wins he has claimed since 1986.
