Tracy Hines wrapped up second place in the 1999 USAC Stoops Freightliner Sprint Car series when he scored his seventh season victory Sunday during Winchester Speedway’s Sammy Sessions Memoria at Winchester Speedway on Oct. 24, 1999.

“I still can’t believe it,” Hines said after the final victory lane ceremony of the sprint car series’ 1999 season. “I figured we could maybe run in the top three. Starting up front, we’re pretty good at blocking and hanging on. I got rolling there and Brian (Tyler) pulled me a little bit the first lap or two. And then all of a sudden I ran him down and I thought, ‘You know what? We’re OK here.’”
