Glory Days: Sammy Swindell Wins The Western World

It had been 20 years since Sammy Swindell had taken top honors at the Western World Championships.

The Memphis, Tenn.-area native changed that on Saturday night at USA Raceway though, outlasting Tim Kaeding to add a third Western World triumph to previous victories in 1980 and 1989 in the Lucas Oil Sprint Cars presented by K&N Filters portion of the 42nd Annual Western World Championships.
